Back[pack] to School
It's time to head back to school. Let's show Keller God's love by helping children get ready to go Back to School!
Mt. Gilead is collecting backpacks filled with school supplies to help Keller ISD schools provide for families who need assistance. We have currently received requests for assistance for 17 students from KMS, Friendship Elementary, Chisolm Trail Intermediate, Fossil Ridge High School, and Fossil Hill Middle School. We will collect the backpacks and provide the backpacks to the schools.
We'll have full lists with each "student", but if you need a quick reminder, here are the Keller ISD School Supply Lists
How does this work?
- Each person or group wanting to provide a backpack of supplies will start by selecting a "student". Each student will have a list of the supplies needed for their particular grade and school.
- Each person or group will then purchase or gather supplies
- Once all supplies are gathered, bundle them together with the backpack
- Return the supplies to the church by August 22 if possible, but no later than August 29th. We want these students to have the backpacks when school starts!
If you want to participate by giving money, please ensure that your donations are designated "Backpack to School" or contact Sarah Lambert. She needs monetary donations as soon as possible in order to have time to purchase and package everything before school starts.
